Lightning Talks : Call for Papers
APRICOT 2007 - Call for Lightning Talks
=======================================

The APRICOT 2007 call for lightning talks is now open!

Lightning talks are scheduled for 9:00 - 10:30am on Thursday 1st March, in the Nusantara room. The call for lightning talks is open to all registered APRICOT 2007 attendees.

Lightning talks are short talks/presentations on relevant topics that last no more than 10 minutes. This time limit is strictly enforced.

Talks on topics that are timely, interesting, or even a little crazy, are invited. The APRICOT Program Committee will evaluate all submissions and choose the best eight. Talks must be relevant to the APRICOT community, as per http://submission.apricot.net/presentat ... elines.htm

If you've thought about presenting at a future APRICOT, a lightning talk this year is a great place to start!

The use of slides is not required although most people choose to use them. Speakers typically prepare three or four slides. Final slides must be provided with your talk proposal. These will be presented from a common laptop, you will not be using your own.

To submit a proposal for a Lightning Talk, send an email to program-owner@apricot.net with the following details:

*** SUBMISSIONS MUST BE IN BY 9AM WEDNESDAY 28 FEBRUARY ***

Include in your submission:
- Your name and affiliation
- Talk name
- A brief (three sentence) description of the talk
- Your slides, include both the source file (PowerPoint or KeyNote) *AND* a PDF version.

Successful speakers will be notified during Wednesday 28th.
